Grab-n-Go Breakfast and Lunch

Johnston Community School District is providing FREE LUNCH and BREAKFAST meal bundles each Monday, (Tuesday after Memorial Day holiday), for all children ages 1 – 18 years old.

Drive up to any of the approved site locations between 12:00 p.m. and 12:30 p.m.  Participants can remain in the vehicle, pop the trunk and a volunteer will place a bundle of five (5) lunch meals plus five (5) breakfast meals for each child in the vehicle.  Each Monday (Tuesday after Memorial Day holiday = 4 meals) a five (5) day supply of free Breakfast and Lunch meals per child will be offered through August 10, 2020.  Walk-up participants should bring a backpack for ease of carrying the meals home. This approach will help promote social distancing which can help keep our community safe.

Site locations are as follows:

Johnston High School, North lot (former Sterling Point location)
6500 NW 100th Street, Johnston

Meredith Dr Reform Church; South Parking Lot

This program will be solely for pickup of meals and meals will not be consumed on site.  We encourage families to continue to be proactive in reducing the risk of Covid-19 by not congregating at the site location once meals have been distributed, continue to wash hands often, sneeze or cough into a tissue or your elbow, and stay home if you are sick. For more information call JCSD Nutrition Office 515-278-0278
