Welcome to Beaver Creek Elementary!
Beaver Creek was built in 1997 and is one of five elementary schools in the Johnston Community School District. The school building is a source of pride for the Beaver Creek community. It boasts 96,000 square feet of learning space available for students including collaborative learning spaces for each grade level, along with spaces for support programs and related arts classes.
Eric Toot is the principal at Beaver Creek, and Nick Gomez is the assistant principal. Over 70 teachers and staff members work at Beaver Creek every day and are committed to helping all students make academic and social growth. There are 24 kindergarten through fifth grade homerooms at Beaver Creek, and approximately 585 students are enrolled.
Every student at Beaver Creek goes to physical education, art, and music classes. The Extended Learning Program (ELP) serves our students requiring academic enrichment. There are reading support personnel to assist our students with reading/literacy skills, tiered special education programs are available for students who present unique learning needs, and an English Language Learner program to support students who are learning to speak English. The school also offers school counseling support, school nursing support, and has an amazing library.
We welcome you to visit our school! All visitors to the building will be directed to the front office to gain access to the rest of the school. Please call our office (515-278-6228) to arrange a visit.
