On behalf of the students and staff, I welcome you to Timber Ridge Elementary! Timber Ridge is proud to be the fifth addition to the elementary family in the Johnston Community School District.  With construction completed the fall of 2007, we opened as a four-section, kindergarten through fifth grade building. In 2013, we added six more classrooms and a computer lab.

Timber Ridge Elementary currently reflects a student enrollment of over 700 students in kindergarten through fifth grade. We have excellent dedicated teachers and support staff, committed to provide a safe and positive learning environment that promotes and encourages the growth of all children. Our staff includes a full-time guidance counselor, teacher librarian, and nurse, as well as full- and part-time staff members who teach the areas of art, music, physical education, and instrumental music. Students with unique needs are supported by special education teachers, English As a Second Language (ESL) teachers, Reading Recovery, and Reading Support teachers. Our Extended Learning Program (ELP) serves our students requiring an enriched curriculum.
