Welcome to John F. Lawson Elementary School located in the Johnston Community School District.  We serve more than 640 students in kindergarten through fifth grade, as well as the developmental kindergarten program.  We are committed to supporting students and families academically, socially and emotionally.  

More than 160 years ago, John F. Lawson donated the land for the first one room schoolhouse in the area.  Today, the Lawson Elementary staff continues dedication to education.  We work to ensure that all students learn at high levels.  We promote an atmosphere of personal growth, high expectations and pride for students and staff in our Lawson and Johnston community.
