Girls Cross Country Dominates CIML Conference

The Johnston girls Cross Country team recorded a historic finish at the CIML Conference Meet October 13 in Marshalltown by achieving a perfect score.

All seven members of the varsity team were awarded All-Conference honors for their efforts. The team is currently ranked no. 1 in the state, no. 3 in the midwest region, and no. 28 in the nation.

Special congratulations to varsity member Jessica McKee for winning the individual conference championship.

The JV team also received first place in a close-fought win over Dowling Catholic. Many of the JV members finished with season best or personal record times.
