Supporting and Maintaining District Funds
Johnston school’s finance department is responsible for budgeting, accounting, financial reporting, and statistical data. They also provide yearly financial reports to aid in district funding, student fees that help ensure quality education, and online methods of convenient payment for district families.
The Johnston Community School District finance department has long been a recipient of the ASBO International Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting. Most recently, the department earned the award for their FY17 Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR), which is a complete audited financial statement of the district that conforms to guidelines recommended by the Government Finance Officers Association and the Association of School Business Officials (ASBO) International.
