Phone Scam Targets Johnston Businesses, Residents

The Johnston Community School District would like to warn parents and community members of a scam involving people impersonating someone from Johnston High School.

Scammers are calling people and businesses in the city asking them to purchase rally flags for display at home games. The company is called PrimeTime Advertising and the phone number is typically displayed as 866-778-7797.

While PrimeTime Advertising is a legitimate company, they do not have permission to call on behalf of the school district, or use the district’s name or likeness for any promotional activities. This is not a district-approved fundraiser or vendor.

If you receive a call, please disregard. The Johnston Police Department has been informed of this scam.
