JHS Financial Literacy Student of Year

JHs junior Addie May has been named the JHS Financial Literacy Student of the Year by JHS business teacher Kayla Bousum. Mrs. Bousum was granted $500 by Next Gen Personal Finance, a curriculum company that is committed to improving the financial lives of the next generation of Americans. About 85 students who were taught Financial Literacy by Mrs. Bousum this year applied for the scholarship by writing a short essay about how they are applying what they have learned in the course. Addie was chosen because she is truly living what she learned this year. Addie plans to put the $500 in a safe investment and use it to help cover the costs of textbooks in college. Congratulations, Addie!
