Stepping Towards Success Banquet Honors Students

Ten Johnston High School seniors were honored at the fourth annual Stepping Towards Success banquet on April 30, 2019.  This banquet is held to recognize students who were nominated by a faculty member for improving or maintaining excellence in their academics, behavior, attendance, or overall citizenship.  Frequently, many of our recipients have had to overcome obstacles in their lives to turn things around.

This banquet allows high school staff and supporters to acknowledge the students’ personal achievements and success. Organizers recognize the students and a staff member who the student believes has helped them be successful. Stepping Toward Sucess is organized by Lisa Noe and Jenny Palmer, both JHS teachers. Congratulations to these hard-working students and thank you to the staff members who support them in reaching their goals!

This year’s recipients were:  Front row:  Karen Vidrio, Jessica Parraga, Maria Sutuc, Kara Fagan. Back row:  Denashia Steffen, Alisa Capehart, Brayton Van Zee, Tanner Hartshorn, Taw Reh, Lazaro Rodriguez
