Merle Hay Construction Update

The City of Johnston has been working on a major construction project surrounding the intersection of Merle Hay Rd and NW 62nd Ave. As school starts on August 31, we’d like to update you on this project.
There will be additional directional signage for parents who have kids going to Lawson Elementary, Wallace Elementary, and Johnston Middle School. There will also be extra traffic control for parent and bus access to Lawson Elementary. Please continue to follow posted detours and signs for local business and school entrances.
Pay extra attention when traveling as there will be more pedestrians in and around work zones once school is back in session.
