Congratulations to 2021-22 winter sports on Academic Achievement Awards

The Iowa Girls’ High School Athletic Union & The Iowa High School Athletic Association recognizes those teams and cheerleading squads which collectively have excelled in the classroom. Each student-athlete on the team will receive a certificate for their personal accomplishment, and the achievement will go on record at the respective associations.

There are two awards which may be earned:

Excellence in Academic Achievement Award
- This award will be given to teams achieving a combined grade point average of 3.0-3.24.
Distinguished in Academic Achievement Award
- This award will be given to teams achieving a combined grade point average of 3.25 and above.

Varsity Basketball Cheerleading, earning a team cumulative GPA of 3.0980 and receiving the Excellence in Academic Achievement Award
Varsity Boys Basketball, earning a team cumulative GPA of 3.3202 and receiving the Distinguished in Academic Achievement Award
Varsity Girls Basketball, earning a team cumulative GPA of 3.7075 and receiving the Distinguished in Academic Achievement Award
Varsity Girls Bowling, earning a team cumulative GPA of 3.4774 and receiving the Distinguished in Academic Achievement Award
Varsity Boys Swim, earning a team cumulative GPA of 3.6505 and receiving the Distinguished in Academic Achievement Award
Varsity Wrestling Cheerleading, earning a team cumulative GPA of 3.3737 and receiving the Distinguished in Academic Achievement Award
Varsity Wrestling, earning a team cumulative GPA of 3.2965 and receiving the Distinguished in Academic Achievement Award
