CONGRATULATIONS to 2022-23 Winter Sports on Academic Achievement Award

The Iowa Girls’ High School Athletic Union & The Iowa High School Athletic Association recognizes those teams and cheerleading squads which collectively have excelled in the classroom. Each student-athlete on the team will receive a certificate for their personal accomplishment, and the achievement will go on record at the respective associations.

There are two awards which may be earned:

• Excellence in Academic Achievement Award

o    This award will be given to teams (grades 9-12) achieving a combined grade point average of 3.0-3.24.

• Distinguished in Academic Achievement Award

o    This award will be given to teams (grades 9-12) achieving a combined grade point average of 3.25 and above.

Excellence:

Basketball Cheer, cumulative GPA of 3.014

Boys Wrestling, cumulative GPA of 3.248

Girls Wrestling, cumulative GPA of 3.036

Distinguished:

Boys Basketball, cumulative GPA of 3.297

Girls Basketball, cumulative GPA of 3.603

Boys Bowling, cumulative GPA of 3.320

Girls Bowling, cumulative GPA of 3.858

Wrestling Cheer, cumulative GPA of 3.834

Boys Swimming, cumulative GPA of 3.568
