• NATIONAL HISTORY DAY: National History Day drop-ins this coming week are Tuesday 6:30-7:30am and Thursday 3-4pm in Ms. Ites’ room, #137. In cases of inclement weather, drop-ins will be cancelled.  See Ms. Ites with questions.
• SUMMIT SPRING PLAY: Thank You to everyone interested in being a part of the Crew for Falling! We had an overwhelming number of students sign-up for crew. Unfortunately, we could not use everyone. We RANDOMLY selected students to fill our crew. • JOHNSTON GIRLS SOFTBALL ASSOCIATION: The Johnston Girls Softball Association (JGSA) is bringing in Barbara Jordan on January 26 and she has a great message and program for all participating. Please click on the link for the guest speaker flier https://www.johnstoncsd.org/wp-content/uploads/2019/01/2019AlwaysBevForm.pdf This opportunity is geared toward players and non-players 11 years of age through high school.  The focus of the guest speaker for the participants will be being aware of their surroundings, staying safe while they are out and about with friends/teammates.  It is also an opportunity on what they can do to protect themselves by understanding how some of their daily habits could provide opportunities for predators AND how they can avoid potential encounters.
