  • SCHEDULE CHANGE PLEASE NOTE: Tuesday, January 14th & Wednesday, January 15th will both be A days as we start a new semester.  Please be sure to follow your A day schedule for both days. SUMMIT THEATER PRODUCTION: First Rehearsal for Trouble in Paradise Junction Today!  Everyone who has a part in the play and the stage managers should meet in the cafeteria at 3 p.m. today for our first exciting rehearsal! Be sure to access the rehearsal schedule on Google Docs and check it regularly to see when you need to be at rehearsal after today. As we practice, the schedule may change according to our  needs. Crew members, plan to stay after school on Friday for our first meeting.

Here is the link to the schedule for cast rehearsals.

It may change due to weather or rehearsal needs. Keep the link handy to check back frequently. Crew will begin meeting regularly in February. Watch for the crew calendar.

We do need parents to head up the costume, set, and props committees. If you are available and interested, please contact Ms. Murdock at

  • SUMMIT SCHOOL CLIMATE COMMITTEE : The Summit School Climate Committee’s next project will be a school-wide tissue and disinfectant wipe drive! With the flu season in full swing, we thought it would be a great opportunity to help provide these items at this critical time. The drive will start on Thursday, January 9th and run until Friday, January 24th. Please bring items to your community bin which will be located near the entrance of each community. Please see a School Climate Committee member with questions.
  • MILITARY CARE PACKAGES : We are organizing care packages for military members at Camp Dodge as part of our ELP project to affect change for the greater good in our community.  We are collecting the following food items in boxes in the Lobby Vestibule in front of the office until Friday January 17, 2020.
  • hard candy
  • gummy candy
  • suckers
  • water flavoring packets (kool aid, coffee, hot chocolate, and lemonade)
  • beef jerky
  • Slim Jim’s
  • protein or snack bars
  • labeled homemade treats
  • microwave popcorn
  • gum

Military personnel also appreciate these additional items:

  • decks of cards
  • card games
  • good quality socks
  • chapstick
  • pens
  • notebooks
  • board games
  • movies
  • puzzle books
  • word cross books.

These packages will be organized and sent out this winter through the USO at Camp Dodge. By just getting one extra item when you’re Christmas shopping, Iowa’s military can have their own treats! You can turn in these items at boxes in the lobby vestibule in front of the school office.
