Announcements-Thursday, Sept. 3rd-A Day

Welcome Back

Welcome back to school, students. Please remember to check your email for important announcements each day.

No School Monday, Sept. 7th

Featured Book from the Summit Library:

Black Brother, Black Brother by Jewell Parker Rhodes is about twin 12-year old boys.  They have a white dad and a black mom, and although they are twins, Donte’s skin color is darker than Trey’s skin.  This book examines how differently they are treated in society, and how Donte takes up competitive fencing and gains self-confidence and the ability to stand up for himself not only to classmates, but people in authority as well.

7th Grade Leadership Opportunity:

Any 7th Grader who is interested in a leadership opportunity is encouraged to apply to become a Summit Student Leader.  Information and application can be found  on the link below.
