iPads MUST be checked in by 3:00 on May 29th

Damaged iPads/equipment — damage fees will be determined and students will be sent an email notification and the incurred fees will be updated on Infinite Campus.

  • 2019-2020 CROSS COUNTRY: ATTENTION PARENTS of any CURRENT 6th & 7th grade girls or boys who might be interested in joining the CROSS COUNTRY team for the 2019-2020 school year. There will be an introductory Parent/Athlete meeting on Wednesday, May 29th @ 5:30 PM in the Summit Middle School Cafeteria. Topics discussed will include:
  • What makes Cross Country such a unique and awesome sport!!
  • Summer Clinic/Camp opportunities
  • How to prepare to have the best possible fall season!!

  • SUMMIT YEARBOOKS FOR SALE: We will be handing out yearbooks sometime next week.  If you haven’t purchased a yearbook yet, please do so quickly.  We only order so many extra and when they are gone we can’t order any more.  A list of those who purchased yearbooks is outside Mrs. Goodenow’s office on the wall.
  • FROM THE LIBRARY: Please continue to check lockers, bags, and under your bed for those missing library books.  Currently we are still missing 220 books!  All library books need to be returned as soon as possible!  Thank you!
  • FINE ARTS NIGHT: Summit Middle School artists will have their work on display tonight, Tuesday, May 21st from 5 -7 pm in an open house gallery. Artwork will be found on the first and second floor hallway walls and in display cases around the school. Stop in to see the artwork and say “Hi!” to Mrs. Hafner!
  • BAND CONCERTS TONIGHT:  5:30/7th grade purple band/Summit Cafeteria AND 6:30/7th grade gold band/Summit Cafeteria
  • JOHNSTON COMMUNITY EDUCATION : Johnston Community Ed. is looking forward to a great summer in 2019.  If you haven’t already, take a look at our Summer 2019 edition of The Connection to see what we have planned and then SHARE it with someone who might enjoy these programs!
  • COLOR RUN: Johnston High School Students 4 Change, the mental health awareness and suicide prevention group is planning a Color Run to kick off summer for Johnston kids and families on June 1st at the Summit Track!  Run registration is only $10 per person and an additional $10 for a color run t-shirt (not required).  Deadline for t-shirt orders is May 16.   • WRESTLING SUMMER TRAINING 2019 Johnston Wrestling Summer Training Academy

WHO:  For ANY K-12 student in Johnston (beginner to experienced wrestlers welcome)

WHAT:  Instructional sessions from Johnston Wrestling Coaches

WHEN:  Starts THURSDAY June 13th  to  TUESDAY JULY 25th   5:15-6:45 PM (12 sessions total–Always Tuesdays and Thursdays) **There will not be a session Thursday July 4th for the holiday
