Horizon Reads—Save Me Seat
We are in our 3rd year of Horizon Reads, our school’s vision of helping students to build rich literacy skills at home, as well as at school. Every family is encouraged to read the same book, at the same time. This campaign engages families in the joy of reading quality literature with each other, and completing fun trivia tasks each day at school.
This year’s Horizon Reads book is Save Me a Seat by Sarah Weeks and Gita Varadarjan. This book is about a friendship between two students, who at first do not seem to have much in common.
We encourage families to read together each night so that our entire Horizon community may enjoy literature together!
