Johnston Middle School Announcements for

Tuesday, October 22, B Day

New Announcements:

JMS: Annual Winter Warmth Drive!

Bring in your gently used and/or new coats, mittens, hats, snow pants, boots, blankets, scarfs, or other items to keep kiddos safe and warm this winter.

Put all items into your A DAY LUNCH BIN. The bins are all labeled and placed throughout the building. If you have trouble finding your lunch’s bin, donations can also be brought to Ms. Comstock or Mrs. Anderson; just make sure to label items with your name and lunch period.

The lunch with the most donation items wins a hot chocolate bar during their lunch period. May the best lunch win!

JMS Culture Club First meeting of the year!

What is Culture Club?

It is an after school group that meets once a quarter to explore aspects of culture.  Mrs. Petersen (French teacher) and Mrs. Bullard (Spanish teacher) host the group. You do not have to be studying French or Spanish to participate.  We often do crafts, games, or other cultural activities (sometimes there is food, too!)

Our First quarter Culture Club meeting will be Thursday, Oct. 24th from 3:00 – 3:30 in room 201 (French room). Come learn about how chocolate has been influential in French and Spanish cultures.  Please RSVP by joining the showbie: WL93K

Repeat Announcements:

Entries are due by October 31 and will be judged based on creative interpretation of the theme, originality, and expression of JMS spirit and pride.
