Students- don’t forget to check the JMS site for your Weekly Updates and Assignments in all your classes!  This will help you keep up with your course work in all classes, especially if you are ever absent or quarantined.

Go here to access the site:  JMS Site– in the upper left corner, there is a black tool bar that will give you access to all of the grade levels and contents to search your teachers!

JMS Attitude of Gratitude Challenge — We have an opportunity to express our gratitude by giving back to others, and your participation in the Food Drive will bless children in Johnston who do not have enough food to eat.

Here’s how it works:  Each day bring the item of the day to your PRIDE classroom and place in the designated box.  On Thanksgiving Eve all boxes will be delivered to the local Food Bank to bless those in need!  Please see the attachment for the full schedule of daily giving.

9th grade students who wish to obtain a school driver’s permit can follow the following link:

This link will guide them to a Google Site. Students will need to log in with their jdragonmail credentials in order to watch a video and complete a quiz. The video contains the information that was presented at permit meetings in the past and will now take the place of those meetings. One parent will need to watch the video and note that completion on the quiz. As usual, the only students eligible are 9th graders who have completed driver’s education and have had their learner’s permit for at least six months. After the quiz has been completed, students can pick up their signed Department of Transportation form in the JMS Front Office. Students will need a parking tag to park on school grounds during the school year. Parking tags are available for $20 when students pick up their DOT form. Please make sure you have your license plate number with you at the time of purchase.

As some of you might know, the GoodNotes 4 app is no longer updating for students and you are losing the ability to back up your documents. The district has purchased GoodNotes 5 for all students who currently are using GoodNotes 4. Those students will need to open the Self Service Cart and download GoodNotes 5. Do not delete GoodNotes 4 until after all of the documents have been transferred to the new app! Once GoodNotes 5 has been downloaded, you will need to follow the attached directions in order to transfer documents from the old app.  GoodNotes
