FIRE DAY

New Announcements:

Calling all math-lovers! The JHS Math Club is recruiting new 8th and 9th grade members! The Math Club meets once a week, on Mondays from 3-4pm in Room 426 (upper green) at the high school. Our focus is on interesting and compelling math topics that you might have never heard of before. No math experience is necessary to join! We also prepare for math competitions! Although not required, competitions are opportunities to show your individual knowledge and work with team members to qualify for state in April. If you’d like to join or learn more, please fill out this survey: https://forms.gle/f4QToxaAKJgaiUVg7. Questions can be sent to Owen Smith at: smith.owen@jdragonmail.us.

What is a GSA?

Gay-Straight Alliances or Gender-Sexuality Alliances (GSAs) are confidential, student-run clubs or groups in schools that serve as a safe space for all students, regardless of their orientation or gender identity/expression. GSAs provide a place for students for students to meet, support, and listen to each other about their experiences, talk about issues related to orientation and gender identity/expression, and work to end homophobia and transphobia in their school.
