New Announcements:
There will be a short 9th grade boys basketball meeting on zoom this coming Wed, September 16th at 12:15pm. The zoom link will be emailed out by Noon on Tuesday, September 15th. If you have not gotten the zoom link by then, please email Coach Sciurba (michael.sciurba@johnston.k12.ia.us) and let him know that you need the link, and he will email it to you.

SCHOOL PICTURE DAY is TOMORROW, Tuesday, September 15 for PURPLE students in the small gym! ONLINE Only students will take pictures on our Re-Take Days – October 23 (GOLD Re-Take Day) and October 26 (PURPLE Re-Take Day).

Calling all artists! You are invited to submit original artwork to a contest to choose the cover for this year’s JMS Yearbook. The yearbook theme for the 2020-2021 book is Welcome to the New Normal. The contest winner’s work will appear on the front cover and wrap around on the back cover, so size/proportion accordingly. Entries are due to Ms. Kehrli (Room 516) by Friday, October 16 and will be judged based on creative interpretation of the theme and originality. Use any 2-dimensional media (photography, drawing, painting, collage, digital art, etc.). Entries not selected for the cover may be included inside the book to showcase student creativity. Questions? Ask Ms. Kehrli, Mr. Kirkholm, or Ms. James.

2020 JMS Yearbooks are available in the middle school office. The cost: $28. The books were delivered while we were learning remotely this spring, so if you did not get a chance to pick one up this summer, do it now!
