Some of the 9th/10th/JV JHS Men’s Golf Team competed against Waukee and Ames at Jester on the Par 3 and played 18 holes. The Dragons placed 4th and 6th out of 6 teams. Low Dragons were Jack Gorsche 69, Ollie Dayton 70, Jack Blanchard 71, James Hansen 71. @JCSD_Golf

All PE students are still required to wear the PE uniform during Homecoming week. Black/Purple Shorts/Sweatpants. Johnston/White Shirt. Tennis Shoes. Cannot be what student wore to school.

If you did not attend the fall basketball meeting or fill out the google form, please stop down to Mr. Sciurba’s room (room 512) asap. The deadline for Basketball Apparel/ Jersey number requests is due by the 23rd. This makes it important to come talk to Coach Sciurba if you would like to play. Thanks!

Science Olympiad – Have a passion for STEM? Come be a part of a Science Olympiad team. Our first meeting will be Tuesday, September 24 in room 223 from 3:00 to 4:00. There are some changes this year, with a practice and a regional competition, which means some of you will get three opportunities to use what you study and build. State competition is at UNI on March 7. There is an activities bus that travels from JMS to JHS that you can use to get to practice.

The middle school weight room is open after school on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 3-4 PM. We will be following the off-season workout together. There is no sign-up, just show up and work hard!
To All Athletes Staying for 9th Grade Athletic Practices,
Any 9th grade football and volleyball player staying after school for practice on Wednesday early out days, must report to the multipurpose room with Mr. Tobey. This will be a study hall opportunity so please bring your ipad and homework. Athletes will be dismissed to practice at 3:20 pm. Locker rooms will be locked until that time.
