Supplies to Get You Through the School Year
Below you will find a list of school supplies needed and/or recommended for each school building and grade. Also included are JMS band and choir attire supply lists.
Please consider purchasing extra supplies to donate to students who may need assistance in our district. Your generosity is greatly appreciated! Donations may be dropped off at any school building. If you have difficulty providing school supplies for your children, please contact your child’s school for assistance.
Lawson Elementary (including Developmental Kindergarten)
Johnston Middle School – 8th and 9th
Johnston Middle School – 8/9 Choir Attire and 9th Grade Chamber Choir
Johnston Middle School – 8th and 9th Grade Band and Concert Attire
Johnston High School – JHS does not have a general school supply list – students will receive specific requests from their teachers in the first two days of school.
JCSD families needing assistance with school supplies should call the office(s) of the school(s) where each child attends during business hours in August. Ask whomever answers the phone or leave a message on the answering machine for the school counselor, requesting help with school supplies. Also provide the following information:
- Child’s name
- Child’s grade
- Child’s homeroom teacher
- Name of parent who is calling
- Phone number where you can be reached during the day
