Season begins in November
Wrestlers in grades 7-12 practice together at Johnston High School, at 3:20 daily.
About the Program
2022 marks the first year that the Iowa High School Girls Athletic Union has sanctioned girls wrestling as an official sport. Johnston hosted two clinics in September to gain student interest, while providing information and showing examples. The official season for grades 7 & 8 starts the third week of November, and the high school season starts the first week of November.
