Dates of Season and Practice Information
Official season runs from November to March. Practices are every day after school.
Basketball players in grades 9-12 practice at Johnston High School, at 3:00 daily.
Middle school is open to students in grade 8. Season start is mid October and finishes end of December. Practice is held at Johnston Middle School, 3:00-5:15pm daily.
About the Program
The varsity girls’ basketball team has been to the state tournament 7 year in a row, with head coach Chad Jilek. The team has won back-to-back state title games. In 9 years, the team has 1 state championship and have been state runner-up twice.
