Dragon Stadium Guidelines – JHS

Please see the Johnston High School Stadium Guidelines below:

  • Students sitting in assigned student sections or with a parent.

  • Hanging out on the concourse or in grassy areas is not allowed.

  • Alcohol, tobacco, vapes, weapons, guns, and knives are strictly prohibited.

  • Johnston Police and other law enforcement will be at the game to assist with security. Violating our procedures may lead to removal from the game.

Clear Bag Policy

In addition to these expectations, the Johnston Community School District will implement a clear bag policy at all games held at Johnston High School Dragon Stadium. This means regular backpacks or other bags will NOT be allowed past stadium gates. All bags brought into the stadium must be clear to improve safety and make it easier for security to check bags at the gate. The only non-clear bag we allow is a 5in x 7in bag/wallet that zip and close; an example is a fanny pack.

This new policy is a step toward increasing safety. Thank you for your flexibility, and we apologize for any inconvenience.

We have new online ticketing this year, and specific gates that should be used for entry into the stadium, depending on the kind of ticket or pass you have. And once you leave, re-entry into the stadium is not allowed. Please read the information below carefully for details.

Parents and other spectators should sit on the upper bleacher sections, to avoid intermingling with student sections. Spectators that need accommodations will be allowed to use the elevator for assistance getting to the upper level, and additional seating for wheelchairs is at the top of the lower bleacher section.
