At a May 14, 2025 work session, the Johnston school board developed a Draft Strategic Roadmap for the district that includes an updated Mission Statement, Vision, Core Values and Strategic Directions. Click below to see that roadmap. A survey was sent out May 16-23, 2025 to gather feedback before board approval in June 2025.

Strategic Directions
Our Strategic Directions describe the focus of our improvement work. During this planning process, we identified five strategic directions. The initiatives that will support these strategic directions are included in our 3-year operational plan.
