Johnston Middle School administrators and police are investigating a Snapchat message sent to two students that indicated a bomb in the small gym at JMS. Administrators were notified at about 9 a.m. Police and school administrators searched the gym and found nothing suspicious. The investigation is continuing and the student will face disciplinary action. Please know that the safety and well-being of our students and staff is our top priority. All potential threats are taken seriously.
May 20, 2025 3:35 p.m. Lawson Elementary We just wanted you to be aware that the ambulance you may have seen outside Lawson Elementary at dismissal today was due to a medical emergency of a student. The ambulance arrived as students were boarding the bus at the end of the school day. Everyone else is safe.
May 20, 2025 11:29 a.m. Summit Middle School Summit Middle School students and staff were evacuated at 11:29 a.m. due to a false fire alarm. The all clear was given and students returned into the building at 11:36 a.m. Everyone is safe and classes have resumed.
