Dates of Season and Practice Information
Hitting, Pitching, & Catching off-season workouts begin in January at JMS, these are on Wednesday and Sunday nights, as well as other nights depending on gym availability. The official season runs from May to July. All baseball practices and games are held at Johnston Middle School.
Baseball is open to boys’ in grades 9-12.

Johnston Baseball has qualified for the Iowa Baseball 4A State Tournament in 8 of the last 9 Seasons playing in the Large Class State Title Game 5 times and winning 3 of them during this 9 year span. Johnston Baseball has played their way into the Iowa State Tournament 19 times overall which is one of the top marks in the History of Baseball in our State. Johnston Baseball has won 5 overall State Championships and 4 in the last 13 Seasons.
